A move from Florida to Las Vegas, turned tragic for a family of four, when their rented moving truck and family vehicle were stolen, as they slept.

After arriving in Las Vegas, the family had opted to stay at the Aliante Station resort, not far from downtown. They parked their rental truck, with the family car still attached, in the outside parking lot.

They awoke the next morning to find their rental truck, along with their family car, gone. Their long Florida to Las Vegas journey had been uneventful until that point, and now it seemed it had been worthless.

Hotels are advising guests in the same situation to ensure that their rental trucks are securely parked and guarded.

The hotel urges guests with moving trucks to use their valet or hire a security guard to watch those belongings.

This is a very unfortunate situation to have happened to the family during their Florida to Las Vegas move, but it doesn’t just happen in big cities. Although Las Vegas is known to be a high theft area due to its transient population, if you are planning to move yourself, whether it be all your belongings or just your family car, you need to ensure that you continually have security at the front of your mind.
